This Privacy Policy explains how the TrueTimeStamp app ("TrueTimeStamp", "the app", "we", "us") handles your information. TrueTimeStamp is a timestamp camera and photo stamping app that adds dates, times, GPS location, captions, and logos to your photos and videos.

Your photos, videos, and stamps stay on your device

• Photos and videos you capture or import, and the timestamps, location stamps, captions, logos, and edits you add, are stored locally on your device.
• We do not receive, upload, or store your media on our servers. The app has no account system and no cloud sync in this version.
• Your original files are copied into the app untouched and are never modified. Exports are new files you choose to save or share.

Device features the app uses

The app asks your permission before using these, and uses them only to provide its features:

• Camera and microphone: to capture photos and record video inside the app.
• Photo library: to import media you select and to save your exported files, with your permission.
• Location: to stamp the GPS coordinates and address of a photo, and to place a location map on it. Location is used to build the stamp and is stored on your device with the photo.

Information shared with Apple to provide features

Some features rely on Apple services built into iOS. When you use them, the app may send the relevant location to Apple so it can return the result. This information goes to Apple under Apple's own privacy terms, not to us:

• Maps and geocoding (Apple MapKit): to turn coordinates into a street address and to generate the location map image.
• Weather (Apple WeatherKit): to look up historical weather conditions for a photo's location and time, where that feature is used.
• Purchases (Apple StoreKit and the App Store): your subscription or purchase is processed by Apple. We receive whether you have an active subscription, not your payment details.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand how the app is used and to improve it, we collect anonymous, aggregated product analytics through PostHog, a third party analytics provider. This includes:

• Which screens and features are used, and events such as capturing, exporting, and viewing the upgrade options.
• General app and device information such as app version, device model, and operating system version.
• A random, per-install identifier used to group events from the same installation.

This analytics data does not include your photos, videos, captions, precise location, name, email, or Apple ID. We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Analytics data is transmitted to and stored by PostHog on servers in the United States.

You can turn analytics off at any time in the app under Settings, Privacy, Share anonymous usage data. When it is off, the app stops sending analytics events.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing.

Data retention

• Media and stamps on your device remain until you delete them in the app or remove the app.
• Anonymous analytics events are retained by PostHog for the period allowed by our analytics plan and then deleted or aggregated.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. Because our analytics are anonymous and we hold no account or contact details, we may not be able to link analytics data to a specific person. You can:

• Turn off analytics in the app at any time.
• Delete all app data by removing the app from your device.
• Contact us with any privacy request using the details below.

Children

TrueTimeStamp is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information handled by the app. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this address.
